Steve Lefkowitz is a home mortgage consultant with DE Capital Mortgage, LLC, an affiliate of Wells Fargo, one of the nations premier mortgage lenders.  As part of DE Capital and previously with Preferred Empire Mortgage Company, Steve?s production has lead him to achieve Gold Club status twice.  Whether it be purchasing or refinancing, Steve prides himself on striving to make the mortgage process as smooth as possible.  He finds that the most important thing is to listen to a client?s wants and needs and provide the most information available to address those wants and need in order to find the right loan program.  Steve understands each and every situation is different and demands individual attention.  Steve has been involved in a number of new construction projects throughout Queens and Long Island.  Prior to joining the mortgage industry, Steve was a veteran award-winning producer in the television news industry, working for the NBC News Group.  Among his many professional accomplishments was winning a National Headliners Award for Outstanding Coverage of a major news event for coverage of the execution of Timothy McVeigh in 2001 in Oklahoma City.  Steve was also involved in producing NBC?s news coverage of the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.  Steve earned a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism from Syracuse University.  He resides with his wife and twin daughters in Roslyn, NY.
